Key Responsibilities:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position involves direct supervision of staff, optimizing store profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer service and store presentation.

Primary Duties:
  • Complete necessary daily financial documentation and submit to the accounting department by noon.
  • Conduct daily bank deposits by noon.
  • Manage daily accounting for ATM and Lottery funds, ensuring timely deposits where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate fuel inventory records and report any significant discrepancies.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, motivate, develop, and, if necessary, discipline or terminate cashier/sales associate staff using appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store.
  • Order and receive merchandise according to inventory management guidelines.
  • Conduct inventory audits regularly.
  • Maintain compliance documentation.
  • Ensure sufficient gasoline levels and coordinate deliveries.
  • Verify invoice accuracy to ensure correct vendor charges.
  • Operate and manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Implement all company promotional strategies.
  • Guarantee a quality shopping experience for all customers.
  • Control inventory discrepancies to 1% of sales or less.
  • Manage cash discrepancies to $100 per month or less.
  • Audit cashier documentation for accuracy.
  • Uphold image standards as outlined and participate in image surveys.
  • Report and address all environmental, maintenance issues, and unusual occurrences to the appropriate authorities and management.
  • Maintain price book and operate security cameras where applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with associates and guests.
  • Demonstrate the ability to accurately count, read, and write to complete required paperwork.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, and assist at other locations as needed.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of 1 to 15 lbs.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
    • Reach above shoulder height and bend below the waist.
    • Access all areas of the store freely.
    • Move quickly throughout the store.
