Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN to join our urology clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Your responsibilities will include screening patients, taking vital signs, administering injections, reviewing medication lists, and assisting clinicians with exams.

You will be responsible for maintaining patient flow, ordering documentation, and signing out. You will also handle telephone interactions under the supervision of a clinician or RN, manage prescription renewals, enter edit labs, and maintain communication between clinicians and patients. Additionally, you will provide written patient education materials, maintain exam rooms, stock rooms with supplies, clean instruments, and inventory.

In this role, you will also be responsible for incoming consults and outgoing referrals. This includes setting up appointments, arranging for patient testing, obtaining authorization and referrals for patient insurance, obtaining patient information, and test results from other areas. You will also be responsible for maintenance of medical charts, flow sheets, forms, and processing of insurance forms. Scanning and abstraction are also key aspects of this role.

You will provide backup/coverage to other office staff as needed, both clerical and nursing-dependent on training/access. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • NYS licensed/registered LPN
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of related experience
  • Previous experience in an outpatient care setting preferred

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday daytime hours. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, eligibility for employer 401k funding after one year, and generous paid time off.

The estimated salary for this position is $25-$38 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
