Job Description:

This position provides comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services to patients at the TCRHCC main campus and satellite clinics. The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring a consistent level of service in accordance with TCRHCC policies.

Direct patient care and services are provided to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients. The position requires working rotational shifts, including day, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The opportunity for career advancement is available through tier levels of Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist, as determined by pharmacy experience. Advanced Practice Pharmacists serve as clinical pharmacists for direct clinical pharmacy services in inpatient and outpatient departments.

Responsibilities include administering policies and procedures, directing programs and activities in accordance with TCRHCC's mission, vision, and values. The incumbent serves as the Clinic Manager of Operations at the designated clinic(s) and provides technical and administrative supervision to professional and non-professional employees.

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is a JCAHO-accredited health center that provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations.

The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures.

Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory surgical procedures. The unique community of Tuba City offers a culturally rich environment, with a diverse staff of medical providers and a pleasant community.

The position requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education. A current valid and unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in a State or Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia, and a current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association are also required.

A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Registered Pharmacist and a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Clinical Pharmacist are necessary for this position.
