Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Resurgens Orthopaedics. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners and ensuring that procedures produce high-quality images and information for healthcare professionals to make accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow ACR practice guidelines and safety standards for MRI
  • Perform MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality and timeliness
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete exams
  • Receive patients, explain examination methods, and position patients for procedures
  • Independently perform and complete routine examinations
  • Meet patient, family, and multidisciplinary team needs through effective communication, coordination, and documentation
  • Participate in quality initiatives to ensure high patient satisfaction, care, and workflow efficiencies
  • Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with dressings as necessary
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for timely delivery of MRI services
  • Explain MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Complete related paperwork and obtain interpretation by radiologist
  • Conduct quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report malfunctions to site managers
  • Assist patients with positioning on exam tables and prevent falls
  • Prepare equipment and supplies
  • Analyze results and identify issues with imaging quality, taking appropriate action to resolve issues
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results
  • May be required to travel to other Panorama offices as necessary
Requirements
  • Previous experience in orthopedic MRI preferred
  • ARRT certification with MRI certification
  • Graduation from an accredited program with current certification
  • BLS certification
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of MRI principles and physics
  • Knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as treatment modalities
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Excellent patient care and computer skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action when needed
  • Anticipate ways to improve patient care and experience
  • Assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing systems and protocols
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations and certifications
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to follow ACR recommendations and implement them for Panorama's MRI sites
