Health Images is looking for PRN MRI Technologists to join our team and support our Denver West location Opportunity to cover shifts at West Littleton and Church Ranch locations as well. Position Pay Range $35.65 - $46.01 | A PRN differential will be added based on selected shiftSummary/Objective:Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.Essential Functions1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.4. Performs exams while attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at any time.5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.8. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
