About the Job

This position is a vital part of the Emergency Department team at the Robley Rex VA Healthcare System in Louisville, Kentucky. As an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team.

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 per year, based on the location and experience required. This amount may vary depending on individual circumstances and qualifications.

About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for performing various nursing tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient information. You will also assist with minor procedures, such as phlebotomy and wound care, and work closely with the primary RN and physician to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Your duties will include:
  • Taking vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Administering medications, as prescribed by the physician.
  • Documenting patient information, including medical history, allergies, and treatment plans.
  • Assisting with minor procedures, such as phlebotomy and wound care.
  • Working closely with the primary RN and physician to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have a valid LPN license and relevant experience working in a healthcare setting. You should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, you must be proficient in spoken and written English, as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
