Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer III-IV to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer III-IV, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our unmanned aerial systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to ensure that our designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for unmanned aerial systems, including airframes, structural components, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and parts lists.
  • Work with our manufacturing team to ensure that designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical interchange meetings to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our designs and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a focus on unmanned aerial systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including airframes, structural components, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support customer meetings and project deliveries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a focus on unmanned aerial systems.
  • Experience with CAD software, including Catia and 3DX.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with PLM systems and configuration control.
