Job Title: Nurse Specialist

About the Role:

As a Nurse Specialist at VHC Health, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with chronic wounds, ostomy conditions, or continence disorders

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and develop treatment plans

Educate patients and families on disease management, self-care, and prevention strategies

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements:

Associate degree in nursing is required

Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred

Four years of healthcare/medical - nursing/patient care experience in a relevant discipline is preferred

Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state licensure in nursing is required

BLS certification required
