Security Manager

As a CBRE Security Manager, you will oversee the security operations for a small to medium-sized property, ensuring the safety and security of employees, clients, and assets.
This role is part of the Security, Fire, Landscaping & Waste Management functional area, which focuses on physical security and fire safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
- Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations, collaborate with department managers to determine security needs.
- Investigate, report, and maintain records of security-related incidents, coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms.
- Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facility repairs in a timely manner.
- Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss, providing training on life safety systems, CPR, and first aid.
- Consult with human resources on issues related to security personnel, control budgets for security operations, and monitor expenses.
- Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
- Completed Local or National security staff certification required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job subject area and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.
