Novatae Risk Group is a national wholesale brokerage firm specializing in hard-to-place commercial insurance coverages. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Excess & Surplus Broker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submission Preparation: Oversee the preparation of submissions, including applications and supporting documents, to ensure timely and accurate delivery to insurance carriers.
- Account Presentation: Present accounts to insurance carriers in a favorable light, proactively working to obtain compelling programs.
- Business Development: Market new and renewal business in conjunction with designated sales teams, identifying opportunities for growth and cultivating new markets.
- Program Analysis: Collect necessary information, analyze current programs, and order underwriting reports as needed to ensure accurate and timely quotes.
- Administrative Support: Coordinate and handle administrative workflows with support teams to establish accurate and prompt responses to service issues.
Requirements:
- Business Writing and Analysis: Skilled in business writing and situation analysis, with the ability to thrive in a team environment and autonomously.
- Insurance Knowledge: Strong knowledge and experience of property and casualty insurance, including coverages, rating, terminology, and technical procedures.
- Sales and Communication: Must be sales-driven, a 'people person' who can establish new relationships and learn communication strategies and sales methods.
- Education and Experience: A four-year college degree is preferred, with 1-3 years of relative experience in wholesale brokerage or MGA.
