Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier/Barista to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients, customers, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a computerized cash register to record sales and reconcile cash and register documentation at the end of the day.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills to ensure a remarkable customer experience.
  • Organize the cashier area to receive customers, including procuring currency bags and filling cash registers and credit card machines with tape and ink as needed.
  • Accurately operate a computerized cash register to compute charges and assign appropriate cost exceptions.
  • Assume accountability for cash and other responsibilities at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain food product inventory, including ordering from approved vendors and monitoring inventory levels to maximize turnover and minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Participate in the annual inventory process and other inventories as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Possesses basic math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively greet, interact, and communicate with customers, patients, and Health System employees.
  • Ability to read and write, understand instructions, and communicate with customers.
  • Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic and calculations, including receiving cash and providing change for customers.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to concurrently perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coping with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to stand for up to 80% of work time.
