Job Summary

R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Lawrence, KS. As a key member of our cultural resources management team, you will be responsible for planning and executing projects, coordinating with field archaeologists, and directing field crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Work closely with project management and operations personnel to plan and execute projects within project scoping, timelines, and budgets.
  • Field Coordination: Coordinate and communicate with field archaeologists to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Organize and direct field crews and other staff assigned to projects, providing training and guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in anthropology/archaeology, with a completed accredited archaeological field school and a Master's degree in anthropology/archaeology.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in cultural resources management, with at least 1 year of crew chief level experience.
  • Skills: In-depth understanding of archaeological field methods for all phases of work, experience with GPS equipment, and ability to work outdoors in variable temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
