About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Specialist to join our team at Genuine Parts Company. As a key member of our retail sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers in person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and solutions to customers on automotive parts and accessories
- Use your extensive knowledge of automotive parts to assist other team members in answering customer questions
- Deliver outstanding customer service and interactions with every customer who enters our store
- Bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to our fast-paced retail environment
- Welcome customers into our store and engage with them to provide a positive shopping experience
- Utilize technology, including computers, cash registers, and paper catalog systems, to efficiently process customer transactions
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical or trade school courses or degree a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
- Customer-centric mindset
- ASE certifications
