About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Management Specialist to join our team at New York Common Pantry. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $67,000 - $75,000.

Job Description

The Volunteer Programs Manager will lead volunteer recognition efforts, coordinate special projects, and support fundraising initiatives. They will supervise the Volunteer Program Associate and coordinate with program and administrative staff at all levels.

  • Recruit volunteers through outreach to corporations, educational institutions, sponsoring organizations, and community groups.
  • Develop strategies to identify new volunteer sources and conduct community outreach to introduce the agency's services.

The successful candidate will be located at our Manhattan office and will have occasional travel to other NYCP locations. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical insurance, and 403(b) retirement account.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum three years of experience working with volunteers preferred.
  • Familiarity with NYC non-profit institutions and corporate funders an asset.
  • Excellent presentation, planning, and organizational skills.
