Primary Care Physician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at Health Advocates Network, Inc. as a Primary Care Practitioner for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities- Maintain the continuity of health care and medical treatments for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Guide individuals and their interdisciplinary habilitative treatment team members in formulating and implementing comprehensive individual habilitative care and treatment program plans.
- Oversee clinical operations and assign and direct the work of other professionals and nonprofessional nursing care staff.
- Graduation with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or osteopathy from a medical school approved or recognized by the Pennsylvania Medical Licensing Board or the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Licensing Board.
- Completion of an approved U.S. residency training program in the allopathic medical specialties of family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, or certification in the osteopathic field of general practice.
- Annual successful completion of 50 hours of continuing medical education approved by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association as appropriate.
- Three (3) years' post-residency experience with substantial emphasis on primary care.
- Possession of a current license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania Medical Licensing Board, or Osteopathic Medicine Licensing Board.
- Possession of a current certificate to prescribe medication from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
- Basic computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Products.
This is a professional medical work environment in the primary medical care and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Work is generally performed with limited or no direct professional supervision but is subject to review by a clinical and/or administrative supervisor through consultation, review of individual case histories, staff reports, and personal inspections.
