The Cornerstone General Contractors organization is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and managing project management processes, acting as an onsite representative between Cornerstone and clients.
Essential Responsibilities- Support the project team by providing direct assistance in-office and on-site; collaborate with the project manager to implement team member purpose, direction, motivation, and development.
- Under guidance from the project manager, assist in managing project success and maximizing customer satisfaction based on project timeline, budget, and financial targets.
- Represent Cornerstone's Mission and Vision by setting an example through exceptional treatment of every client, design partners, subcontractors, and internal crew.
- Foster a strong working relationship and clear communication with project managers, superintendents, and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination and project success.
- Ensure adherence to day-to-day internal controls designed to mitigate financial, reputational, legal, and safety risks; address quality control challenges, issues, and findings promptly.
- Collaborate with the project manager to identify change orders, material orders, weekly labor costs, and review invoices prior to submission.
- Participate in preconstruction, ongoing, and close-out meetings, reviews, evaluations, and proposals based on previous project outcomes, experience, and individual project aspects.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in construction.
- 1-2 years of Project Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
- 2-3 years of Project Engineering experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction.
- 2+ years of experience in vertical construction.

An employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
Work EnvironmentThis role involves office and field work, including travel statewide.
Estimated Salary$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
