Policy Research Fellow for Economic Justice

Position Overview

The Fellow will be part of a dedicated team focused on economic security and opportunity initiatives. Under the guidance of a Senior Policy Analyst, the Fellow will undertake various law-related tasks, including:
  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis on relevant legislation and policies;
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and policy briefs;
  • Facilitating discussions and presentations at conferences and workshops;
  • Engaging with media representatives and coalition partners;
  • Supporting advocacy efforts and public education initiatives;
  • Assisting with administrative and operational tasks.


The initiative collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, and community advocates, to formulate effective strategies for alleviating economic hardship and promoting equity across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Fellow will:
  • Identify and analyze pressing policy issues;
  • Gather and interpret data to inform policy recommendations;
  • Draft articles, briefs, and social media content to disseminate findings;
  • Work collaboratively with experts and advocates to enhance policy impact.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Juris Doctor degree or equivalent;
  • Relevant coursework or experience in policy analysis;
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in data management tools;
  • A commitment to issues of economic justice and equity.
