We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Technician IV to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to therapists and contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist therapists in conducting functional skills assessments and developing treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
- Provide direct contact instruction and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their treatment plans.
- Train staff to ensure continuity of treatment plans and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor the implementation of program objectives and gather data to report to the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and provide feedback on individual progress.
- Knowledge and skills in relevant therapeutic techniques, such as applied behavior analysis and sensory integration.
- Ability to train staff in treatment methods and related areas.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- General knowledge of ICF/IID regulations and state supported living center policies and procedures.
This position may require working a specific shift schedule, extended shifts, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy. A valid driver's license and ability to drive a state vehicle may be required.
