Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapy Technician to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing habilitative and rehabilitative therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties
• Provide direct contact instruction and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their treatment plans
• Train staff to ensure continuity of treatment plans
• Monitor treatment goals and objectives through direct contact observation
• Assist in the development and evaluation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team process to provide information regarding the results of functional skills assessments and response to interventions
• Maintain current skills in relation to assigned responsibilities

Requirements:
• Knowledge and skills in relevant therapeutic techniques
• Ability to train staff in treatment methods and related areas
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Ability to assist in the development of treatment and support plans
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others
