The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a Professor in the area of Computer Engineering. The selected incumbent will also hold the termed Micron Technology Chair in Advanced Memory Systems Design.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in the area of computing systems design, particularly focusing on memory systems development using next-generation packaging and heterogeneous integration technologies.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate classes in computer engineering and related fields.
- Service to the institute and to the community, including advising students and developing curriculum tailored to the requirements of the computing industry.
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record of research excellence in the field of computing systems design.
- Strong inclination and passion for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Keen interest and prior involvement in applying research to real-world scenarios.
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. The School is seeking exceptional senior applicants demonstrating outstanding potential for research accomplishments.
About the Micron Technology ChairThe Micron Technology Chair in Advanced Memory Systems Design is a five-year term position that will provide a consulting opportunity with Micron for up to one day per week. The successful candidate is anticipated to commit to a 20% consulting role with Micron Technology, in addition to their full-time position with the School of ECE.
