Job Summary

The Itasca Park District is seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Recreation Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Recreation Center, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patrons, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, patrons, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner, using sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in facilities management, customer service, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; basic knowledge of cleaning and custodial tasks and duties.
Working Conditions

The Facilities Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patrons, staff, and other stakeholders on a regular basis. The position requires the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, and to be on call as needed.
