Job Summary

The Refrigeration Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance of the Ammonia Refrigeration System, including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair the Ammonia Refrigeration System, including routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with the system.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed to company standards and in accordance with food safety procedures.
  • Monitor and report on parts inventory and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of the system.
  • Document and record all maintenance activities and repairs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC Certificate, preferably with an Ammonia Refrigeration Operator Level I certification.
  • 2-5 years of equipment maintenance experience or schooling equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of refrigeration maintenance and operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow work procedures, safety rules, and food safety rules.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and Ammonia Refrigeration systems and operations.
