Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to lead a team of talented engineers focused on battery management, power, and performance for AirPods. As a manager, you will play a significant part in the development of products by leading a team in a collaborative and rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the investigation, analysis, and development of new features and technologies
  • Bring up new hardware and silicon platforms
  • Drive custom silicon requirements and validation activities
  • Continuously drive improvements in energy efficiency and battery longevity
  • Work with leaders across Apple to deliver a phenomenal user experience
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven excellence in firmware, device driver, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years leading an embedded software or firmware development team
  • Expertise and proficiency in C/C++
  • Passionate about developing and mentoring team members
  • BS or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of battery chargers (PMUs), state of health, and state of charge estimation
  • Experience with RTOS embedded development and multithreaded programming
  • Experience with MCUs, peripherals, features, and development environments
  • Able to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams
  • Passion for product ownership and track record of product development
