We are currently seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist at Rapides Regional Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform respiratory care procedures in response to patient needs, physician direction/orders, and within the limits of established RRMC respiratory care policies/procedures and respiratory care consults.
  • Promote optimal respiratory status of assigned patients through physical exam, chart review, and response to ordered therapies, and recommendations, when appropriate, to affect and achieve an optimal level of response to the intervention ordered.
  • Airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date, PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date, and Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR for Healthcare Providers or State Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
