Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Proficiently perform various ultrasound procedures, including vascular and general imaging.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hospital policies and regulations.
  • Provide excellent patient care, communicating effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • DMS (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technician) certification is preferred but not mandatory; it should be acquired within 1 year of employment.
