Job Title: Cook II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cook II to join our culinary team at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sous Chef in maintaining quality and portion control of food products.
  • Work in all kitchen areas, including preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Promote positive customer relations and handle guest complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist other line employees with daily responsibilities and maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Prepare production in accordance with established standards and ensure proper labeling, rotation, storage temperature, and environment.
  • Strive to eliminate over-production and over-purchasing, and maintain quality inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with city and state health department codes and promote positive public/employee relations at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two to three years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to handle food and equipment. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with excessive noise.

Native American Preference Policy:

The Tribal Council gives preference in all employment practices to Native Americans. First preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements, and second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

Employment Process:

Seminole Gaming's employment process requires candidates to obtain gaming licensure by successfully completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to beginning employment. These background checks may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screens.
