Position Overview:
As a Senior Cybersecurity Research Engineer at L3Harris, you will spearhead various teams focused on the development, integration, and testing of advanced cyber software capabilities. Your expertise will span multiple disciplines, including vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering of embedded systems, and the development of cyber operations.
Your role will involve identifying and resolving technical challenges across a wide array of technologies, such as operating systems, virtualization, and embedded IoT systems. You will provide critical technical guidance and influence the design and requirements of our cyber capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor teams in the development of cyber software solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability research and reverse engineering activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and testing of cyber capabilities.
- Provide technical direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage with stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables.
Essential Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in vulnerability research or cyber software development. Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Assembly, C, C++, and Python is required, along with a solid understanding of telecommunications systems and network protocols.
Leadership and Communication Skills:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and effective communication within teams and with external stakeholders. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary for preparing reports and presentations.
Experience in systems integration and test execution is also crucial, along with the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems throughout the system lifecycle.
Security Clearance:
A Top Secret/SCI security clearance is mandatory for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RF or telecommunications standards, as well as the design and development of complex communication systems, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with high-speed processing hardware and system emulation techniques will be advantageous.
