About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

The Information Security Specialist will work closely with other teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and weaknesses. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining security incident reports, including incident details, response actions, and lessons learned.

This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days onsite and 3 days remote work. The successful candidate must be available to work during specific hours and be on call for the MDR service as the main point of contact for any breaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents.
  • Analyze security data from various sources, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewall logs, and antivirus reports.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
  • Perform root cause analysis to determine the source and extent of security incidents.
  • Perform remedial actions based on analysis.
  • Develop and maintain security incident reports, including incident details, response actions, and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with other teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
