About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Lafox, IL.
- As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents.
- You will analyze security data from various sources, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewall logs, and antivirus reports.
- Your responsibilities will also include investigating and responding to security incidents, performing root cause analysis, and taking remedial actions.
- You will develop and maintain security incident reports, collaborate with other teams to remediate security vulnerabilities, and keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
- Additionally, you will assist in the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures, participate in security awareness and training initiatives, and be on call for the MDR service as the main point of contact for any breaches.
Requirements:
- An associate degree in a relevant field or 2 years of experience working in cybersecurity.
- A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewall technologies, and endpoint security solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong understanding of fundamental IT concepts, including operating systems, networking, and databases.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
