Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at HIGH COUNTRY COMMUNITY HEALTH INC. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status through comprehensive health history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering laboratory tests.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients on health promotion, illness prevention, and disease management.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care.
Requirements
  • MSN/Master's in PA Studies or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  • Minimum three years of professional nursing/PA experience in a clinic setting.
  • NC License to practice medicine/DEA.
  • Current CPR certification.
Work Environment

This role will be based in a combination of exam rooms and medical offices, with frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This role requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds, and correct vision and hearing to normal range. It also requires working under stress in emergency situations and occasionally may involve irregular working hours.
