About the Role

The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician is a key member of our team at Wood plc, responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant electrical and controls equipment. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the proactive safety culture and play a key role in the construction of our facility, as well as the development of plant maintenance and operating procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical and controls equipment, including natural gas and liquids separation, condensate stabilization, amine treating and gas dehydration, turbine, reciprocating, and screw compression, turbine power generation, propane refrigeration, natural gas cryogenic processing, CO2 compression, treating, and dehydration, reverse osmosis water treating & pumps, transmitters, valves, actuators, and other instrumentation, gas and liquids measurement equipment, PLCs and plant control, safety, and communications systems, PDC, MCC, transformers, breakers, wiring, motors, VFDs, generators, and additional electrical equipment, electrical substation & power distribution, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Interface regularly with plant mechanic, plant operator, engineering, control room, supply chain, management, and safety teams.
  • Contribute to the development of plant maintenance and operating procedures.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of I&E equipment maintenance and operations and have a proven track record as a leader. This role will have a rotational schedule of day shifts with night call-out responsibilities during the shift. Housing will be provided during the shift.
