Job Summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to join our team. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will be responsible for leading a team of surveyors in the field, conducting boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, photo control surveys, route surveys, and construction stakeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to standard operating procedures and health and safety standards.
  • Conduct field surveys using robotic total stations and GPS receivers to collect accurate data and information.
  • Operate motorized equipment, including survey vehicles and equipment.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a Survey Crew Chief or equivalent role.
  • Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors, and/or Total Station.
  • Knowledge of land surveying principles, techniques, and practices.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided drafting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including construction specifications, plans, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific safe workplace principles and practices.
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various field conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License.
