Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of electrical and mechanical maintenance, working with high voltage equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, as well as assisting with training and documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the rotational plan established by Management and the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC)
  • Perform field service operations, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high voltage equipment
  • Assist with training center operations, including training documentation and certification
  • Assist with equipment/asset management, including inspections and minor repairs
  • Assist with engineering tasks, including document management and project support
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on High Voltage equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience
  • Compile and evaluate data to determine and resolve operating problems or malfunctions
  • Conduct inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs
  • Develop recommendations and prepare written reports
  • Maintain detailed records and logs
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in the Apprentice program of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC)
  • Enrolled at a technical college in an electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics-related field
  • Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • No previous experience required
  • Familiarity with Windows applications
