MEP Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our MEP systems.

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal customers and business partners
• Execute GH Phipps policies and procedures

• Maintain excellent relationships with owners, design team, consultants, subcontractors, and project team members
• Develop and maintain start-up and commissioning schedules
• Assist with materials delivery and procurement of MEP items
• Update master schedules for MEP subcontractors
• Handle permitting processes related to delegated/deferred permits
• Conduct constructability reviews of progress drawings
• Support MEP observation report corrections
• Monitor Mech/Elect subcontractor performance
• Prepare weekly MEP project observation reports
• Conduct field inspections and ensure specification compliance
• Support development of QA plans for MEP trades
• Implement GH Phipps' QA program relating to MEP trades
• Attend pre-award meetings and weekly MEP coordination meetings
• Assist in preconstruction efforts and procurement plans for projects
• Review subcontract agreements and owner contracts
• Be accountable to the project manager for MEP-related budgets, costs, and financials
• Execute essential functions across multiple projects
• Manage on-site subcontractors (if on-site over 20 hours a week)
• Mentor and train direct reports

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or minimum ten (10) years of field experience specific to mechanical/electrical systems
• Minimum eight (8) - twelve (12) years of general commercial construction experience required, with a focus in MEP systems
• Proficient in CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to play a key role in the Integrated Project Delivery process
• Robust knowledge of design build process
• Basic knowledge of reviewing and comprehending contract documents

We offer a competitive salary range of $86,000 - $130,000 annually, dependent on experience and title/rank of position offered.
