Job Summary

Nextgen Information Services is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team of medical imaging professionals. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Interaction: You will be responsible for interacting with patients of all ages, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort during diagnostic ultrasound exams.
  • Ultrasound Operation & Diagnostics: You will operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams, including routine imaging and potentially assisting with invasive procedures.
  • Equipment & Work Area Management: You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, organizing the workspace, and ensuring that supplies are well-stocked.
  • Record Keeping & Scheduling: You will need to keep accurate patient records, help schedule ultrasound exams, and ensure that patient flow is smooth and efficient.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: A minimum of an associate's degree in radiologic technology or ultrasonography is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Required Certifications: Within 10 days of hire, candidates must hold certification in one of the following: Sonography/Ultrasonography, Basic Life Support (BLS).
Essential Skills
  • Critical Thinking & Judgment: The ability to make sharp decisions, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations, is essential.
  • Stress Management: Remaining calm under pressure is crucial in this role.
