Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

At St. David's Georgetown Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely manner, working collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of patient care
  • Assume responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance
  • Document information seen during exams
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in an Ultrasound Technology education program
  • Completion of an accredited school of cardiac ultrasound
  • One year minimum of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
  • Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
