We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Construction Building Technology courses on our Verde Valley campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Construction Building Technology courses in a face-to-face setting, utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with college and departmental standards.
  • Provide individualized support and feedback to students, including office hours, email, and online communication.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other activities that support the mission and goals of Yavapai College.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Construction Building Technology, incorporating this knowledge into teaching and curriculum development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with significant industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on building technology.
  • Proven teaching experience, with a strong commitment to student-centered learning and assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with online learning platforms and technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools, such as Autodesk and Revit.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
