Mechanical Testing Technician, 2nd Shift

Are you prepared to elevate your career in the dynamic field of materials testing? This position is for the 2nd shift, with hours from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday. As a Mechanical Testing Technician, you will be integral to our testing operations, responsible for setting up testing machinery and adhering to precise work instructions to ensure our tests uphold the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various mechanical tests as directed by the Mechanical Testing Supervisor, including the setup of all necessary testing equipment.
  • Adhere to all relevant specifications and procedures to guarantee compliance and accuracy in testing.
  • Verify that testing instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly before conducting tests, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Document and analyze test results, consulting with the supervisor as needed.
  • Monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met, notifying the supervisor in advance of any potential delays.
  • Accurately input required data into the LabMan system in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the maintenance of testing equipment, including cleaning and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Comply with LTI's Quality Assurance Program consistently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • No prior experience is necessary; however, six months to one year of related experience or training is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including the LabMan System, Enterprise Resource Planning System, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
