Job Overview

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing activities that cater to the community and specific target groups. This role involves collaboration with a team to deliver various outreach services across the region, including activities at the Clubhouse center, community outreach, and social media initiatives. The Coordinator will provide essential information, referrals, and initial contact support to individuals seeking assistance in accessing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of consistent, non-judgmental, and consumer-focused services that emphasize strengths and asset development.
  • Provide prevention services, initial contact, intake, and crisis intervention support.
  • Lead engaging activities for individuals and groups at designated venues.
  • Offer information, referrals, and connections to relevant services.
  • Assess client needs, provide relevant information, and assist in connecting them to appropriate services.
  • Advocate for clients with other community service providers.
  • Encourage clients to participate in positive community activities and Clubhouse events.
  • Assist participants in arranging necessary transportation.
  • Follow up on referrals to ensure clients' needs are met effectively.
  • Develop and maintain outreach plans and disseminate topical information.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships within the community and engage in public relations activities for programs.
  • Contact educational institutions, community organizations, and agencies to promote Clubhouse initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain service linkages and engage in public relations activities for programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions, collect statistical data, and perform data entry tasks.
  • Comply with all relevant local, state, federal, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, conferences, and seminars as assigned.
  • Assume additional program-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain successful professional relationships with community members and organizations.
  • Empathy and understanding towards the needs of marginalized populations.
  • Familiarity with program and agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to represent the Agency positively.
  • Public speaking skills and creativity for presenting sensitive topics to diverse groups.
  • Willingness to actively engage in activities with clients.
  • Ability to model effective problem-solving and life skills.
  • Capability to facilitate educational and recreational activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, good judgment, and adaptability.
  • Physical and mental health sufficient to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are required.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility required.
