Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at The Catholic University of America. As a key member of our Operations division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our computing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, virtualization, and cloud computing environments.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of our computing infrastructure and implement procedures to enhance and automate system administration tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity and security of systems and data, planning and implementing changes to avert problems.
  • Design and develop plans to enhance the computing infrastructure, researching products and establishing technical requirements.
  • Provide technical support and coordinate project activities, ensuring projects remain on schedule and meet specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in administering enterprise-class computing infrastructure in a Microsoft Active Directory environment.
  • At least one year of demonstrated success in implementing enterprise computing infrastructure in a large campus environment.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices, as well as information security principles and methods.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, and VMware vSphere.
  • Current, expert-level certification in Microsoft Windows Server is desired.
