Job Title: Registered Nurse II

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse II is a highly skilled and experienced nurse who provides direct patient care and supervision to other nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology and experience in inpatient or ambulatory infusion clinics.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and education to patients and families.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to other nursing staff as needed.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement population-specific care plans and provide education to patients and families.
  • Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practice and research, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to other nursing staff.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Maine.
  • 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in oncology.
  • Current ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • Excellent intravenous access skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology experience in inpatient or ambulatory infusion clinics.
  • Current certification in a relevant specialty (e.g. oncology, infusion therapy).

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
