Job Summary

Brightpoint, a leading human services organization, seeks a skilled Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a critical member of our child welfare team, you will work collaboratively to ensure a relentless focus on keeping children safe and supporting families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide stabilization-focused case management services to prevent youth from entering the care of the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) or reduce the risk of further DCFS involvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across programs to ensure a cohesive approach to child welfare services.
  • Develop and implement effective prevention strategies to support families and promote community well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in prevention and child welfare.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human service field.
  • Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
