Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing advanced level mechanical maintenance and repair work, maintaining and making repairs on plumbing, heating and refrigeration, air conditioning and other mechanical systems and apparatus commonly used in office and institutional building and building complexes.

Key Responsibilities:

Receives, responds, and prioritizes service requests

Monitors, diagnoses, and communicates buildings' maintenance operational needs according to established policies and procedures from start to completion

Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment

Documents activity on equipment and systems to ensure optimal and safe operation

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
At least 4 years work experience in the maintenance field
Experience working on heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
Familiar with HVAC and Building codes
Experience working with DDC and pneumatic controls
Acquire and maintain a valid drivers license within 3 months of hire date
Basic computer skills (i.e., email and punch clock)
