Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Eastern Plumas Health Care. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
  • Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing, including labeling and processing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth sample collection and testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of sample collection and testing results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) I and/or II certification.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical documents and laboratory reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The Phlebotomist will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, interacting with patients, healthcare staff, and laboratory personnel. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality is essential.
