Job SummaryEastern Plumas Health Care is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing by labeling and processing them according to established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth and efficient blood collection procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of blood collection and laboratory testing results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of blood samples.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in phlebotomy or a related field preferred.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Phlebotomist will work in a clinical setting, interacting with patients and healthcare staff on a regular basis. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as frequent use of hands and fingers to perform venipuncture and other tasks.
