Overview
The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) Program Assistant (Program Assistant III) plays a crucial role in supporting the administration of the One Utah Service Fellowship Program and the associated AmeriCorps grant. This position operates under the guidance of the OUSF Program Director and is primarily an in-office role, with a hybrid work option available after a designated period of employment. Occasional travel to partner sites is a requirement. This is a permanent position that relies on ongoing grant and state funding.
The OUSF initiative is designed to meet critical needs in Utah while enhancing the readiness and success of young adults (18+) in post-secondary education or training through valuable service opportunities ranging from 100 to 1,700 hours in areas such as Healthy Futures, Education, and Capacity Building.
This position allows for hybrid work arrangements within the state of Utah.
Responsibilities
1. Administrative Support (40%)
Assist the OUSF Director in managing various aspects of the OUSF Program and the AmeriCorps grant.
- Maintain an organized filing system for AmeriCorps and Fellowship member documentation.
- Develop and uphold processes for member orientation, training, and development.
- Respond to inquiries from regional program coordinators, site supervisors, and members via the OUSF email.
- Compile, sort, and organize data for database entry, disseminate program information, and conduct research.
- Provide necessary support to the OUSF Director as required.
2. Member Compliance Management (40%)
Oversee all aspects of the National Service Criminal History Checks (NSCHC) for over 800 AmeriCorps members in the UHEAN program.
- Coordinate payments to vendors for fingerprint scheduling.
- Track and manage fingerprint scans through the workflow.
- Document member fingerprint details and maintain records until their accounts are established.
- Verify background checks by accessing relevant databases and ensure documentation is uploaded to member accounts.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements by conducting background checks on current and former members.
3. Program Development Support (20%)
Assist the OUSF Director in the ongoing enhancement, sustainability, and strategic planning of the program.
- Contribute to grant writing and proposal development aligned with program objectives and funding sources.
- Manage content creation for the program's website.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate the production of promotional and educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and brochures.
- Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports for review by executives and committees.
- Support program planning and execution.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four years of relevant experience; or an associate degree/technical training with two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AmeriCorps member program management is preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience as a National Service Alum.

Advertised Salary
