The Senior Investment Analyst in Venture Capital is responsible for identifying and assessing new investment prospects, implementing investment strategies, and providing support to our portfolio enterprises. This role requires a deep understanding of how groundbreaking technologies and business models can revolutionize healthcare, enhancing the quality, accessibility, and affordability of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess potential investment opportunities. Discover what differentiates our future portfolio companies and how we can mitigate their risks. Execute investment transactions, including structuring deals and conducting financial analyses. Clearly articulate the financial implications and motivations behind the investments we engage in.
- Identify new investment prospects. Establish our market presence and broaden our network among company leaders, venture capitalists, service providers, industry experts, and others. Engage actively with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Represent Capital Engineering's mission and vision authentically while cultivating significant, enduring relationships.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of emerging markets, technologies, and business models. Utilize a relentless curiosity to help our team stay ahead of future trends in healthcare. Provide assistance and support to Capital Engineering's portfolio companies. Act as a genuine partner and advocate for management teams as they navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in venture capital, management consulting, investment banking, product management, or business development within a technology-focused organization, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Healthcare/Healthtech sector and a robust network within the entrepreneurial community.
- Strong connections in healthcare innovation and venture capital.
- Understanding of startup economics and the challenges faced during the startup journey.
- Familiarity with venture capital deal structures and valuation methodologies.
- Advanced financial, quantitative, and analytical capabilities.
- Prior entrepreneurial and business development experience.
- Commitment to fostering authentic and meaningful relationships.
- Strategic mindset with a talent for identifying key priorities.
- Ability to meet established deadlines and manage multiple service demands from both internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring service excellence. Must communicate effectively and provide positive service to all stakeholders, including those who may present challenges.
Salary Range: $67,320 – $133,705
Salary Range Disclaimer
The disclosed salary range has not been adjusted for geographic differentials associated with the work location. This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education, internal equity, and market conditions. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the specific circumstances of each case.

Physical Demands
The associate primarily works in a seated position while performing job duties. Occasional walking or standing may be required.
