Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Partnership HealthPlan of California. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep and repair of our buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the coordination of maintenance and repair of buildings, including electrical, carpentry, and pest control tasks.
- Work independently on various facility-related issues and take direction from the Facilities Supervisor or above as needed.
- Collaborate with contracting vendors to complete maintenance tasks and make decisions related to building maintenance in emergency situations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate facility maintenance documentation and perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
- Provide back-up assistance to other Facility personnel when necessary and assist with various company events, including set-up and take-down.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum two (2) years of experience in building maintenance, electrical, carpentry, or construction.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows and ability to use general office business machines and perform maintenance as needed.
- Valid California driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business.
- Ability to communicate effectively and read and follow instructions accurately.
- Good organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Must handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy and practice the Honest, Direct, Respectful (HDR) approach to communication with both staff and outside vendors/contacts.
Requires exerting pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly. More than 90% of the work day is spent performing maintenance activities on the floor, away from primary workstation.
