About the Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the inspection, service, and modification of biomedical equipment and support systems. This includes evaluating user maintenance procedures and ensuring safe medical equipment practices are exercised. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical, electronic, optical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and physiological principles and be able to apply them to diagnose and locate system malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the work of Biomedical Equipment Technicians and ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Inspect and service biomedical equipment and support systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Modify biomedical equipment and support systems as required to ensure they meet the needs of the organization.
  • Evaluate user maintenance procedures and ensure that safe medical equipment practices are exercised.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Specialist to ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are conducted in accordance with OEM guidance and local/state/federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of field experience in managing initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, repair of medical equipment, equipment acquisition, and safety within OEM guidance and local/state/federal regulations.
  • Field experience using MMIS.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Contracts Specialist or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret Clearance.
