Job Title: MEP Project Manager

PlantCo is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing on-site construction field support with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in pre-construction activities, including coordination with clients, architects, and consultants.
  • Act as liaison with the client, architect, consultants, and the Department of Building Inspection.
  • Interface with site supervisors and implement innovative construction methods.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, including tracking progress and identifying potential delays.
  • Prepare project documents, including client change orders, subcontracts, and meeting minutes.
  • Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systems.
  • Control and monitor subcontractors, tracking their performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage cost changes, track legitimate change orders requests, and compile fair pricing for work.
  • Review and expedite submittals and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Maintain quality control and production efficiency, resolving production problems and ensuring jobsite safety procedures are followed.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction, operation, maintenance, application, properties, and limits of equipment and systems.
  • Experience with mechanical systems, including Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Domestic Water, Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, and Electrical systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD programs for schematic design and presentations.
  • 5 years prior experience in BIM modelling and clash detection.
  • Experience with MS Project and Primavera P6.
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite of programs.
